Today, we explore the profound significance of prayer, particularly praying for one another, as taught in the King James Version of the Bible. Scripture tells us that prayer should be a steadfast practice, not only for our personal communion with God but also as an act of intercession for others. From James 5:16, which speaks to the powerful effects of a righteous person's fervent prayer, to the communal assurances found in Matthew 18, where Jesus promises His presence among those gathered in His name, the Bible encourages us to engage deeply and frequently in prayer. Let's delve deeper into these scriptures and uncover the strength and comfort we can offer through our prayers for each other.

James 5:16

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

1 Timothy 2:1-2

"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty."

Ephesians 6:18

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

Colossians 4:2

"Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;"

Philippians 4:6

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

Matthew 18:19-20

"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
